Actor John Saxon just passed away. I recently watched him in the Clint Eastwood Western, “Joe Kidd”. Nice turn. I will always remember him from “Blood Beach” where he plays a detective assigned to a case of mysterious disappearances at a local beach. He is allowed to utter, completely straight-faced, the immortal riff which borrows from the “Jaws” film legacy about people in his community having difficulty even getting to the water. Classic! A well recognized and respected actor. We are sad to see his passing.
The Big One! Aliens invade our airspace and threaten our way of life. The Earth counters their incursion. Our efforts amount to naught. Surprise, surprise, it takes American ingenuity to break through the aliens’ defenses. Adrenaline fueled, special effects heavy, feel good peon to Humankind working together and preserving the sanctity of freedom and The American Way. LOL! You’ll love it!!! Pop Corn Hall Of Fame Award Winner!!! Yay!!!!
Michael gets some guitar time in before returning to his favorite vocation.  Happy Halloween!
Here is a seasonal fun item.  Rite Aide sells this adjustable party strobe light which also includes spooky sound effects of a haunted house, howling winds, thunder and lightening, creaking doors and general Halloween inspired noise.  Buy a couple and have competing audio and video mayhem in your own living room.  Michael Myers mask is optional but necessary.  Ah.  The possibilities!
It is that time of year again.  Want to get into the spirit?  Why not pick up your guitar and learn the “Halloween” (1978) theme?  I am referring to the music and movie created by John Carpenter that has become very ingrained in our culture.  Very remarkable, that! Here is some guitar tablature that will allow you to easily follow along and learn the tune.  Let the celebration begin!
As that special time of year comes around once again, the Halloween pranksters start to emerge from their drafty crypts and share their enthusiasms. Go to this link to find one such gag fester: http://wjhl.com/2017/09/20/halloween-decor-prompts-911-call-owner-says-its-all-in-fun/ I know the line “Kids don’t try this at home” has been used to death but remember to always proceed with caution when engaging in such shenanigans.

A motorcycle is destroyed during the course of this short film.  Take it on good faith that the destroyed machine really was on its last legs.  Now to haul it away….Can’t remember how that was accomplished.
A different approach to mastering your musical instrument is demonstrated here.  Not the most cost effective way….but, a way.  Strongly influenced by The Who and their auto destruction phase.
Joey Chestnut pays a visit to Cub Scout Pack 340 in San Jose, CA. in January 2009.  He then proceeds to inhale five burritos.  What a machine!
